Diversity is a core business issue. To be successful in the 21st century, companies must have a diversified workforce. The Regional Business Council works to create a vibrant, minority-friendly business community, both by increasing the hiring and promoting of minorities and by broadening the pool of minority supplier contracts within RBC companies.

  • Increasing recruiting, hiring & retention of globally diverse talent. The RBC is focused on recruiting young minority talent to St. Louis and partners with InSight St. Louis to bring students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to the region.
  • The RBC launched the Young Professionals Network to attract and retain young minority talent to the region and to give these future leaders unique opportunities for networking, professional development and community involvement.
  • Supporting the work of community-based organizations. The RBC has partnered with the Minority Supplier Diversity Council, The St. Louis American, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Asian American Chamber, St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis to attract a more diverse workforce and create a more diverse business community.
  • Sharing best practices for inclusion in the workplace through the RBC's Business Diversity Information Resource Center.
